Lotto
Numbers drawn in last week’s lotto were 1-5-8-9-12-15. There was no jackpot winner.
Twenty euro winners were:

Results / Fixtures

The first team turned in another good performance last week but paid the price for missed chances and one defensive error which led to a one nil defeat played before a big crowd again. The reserves had an excellent two one win away in Carn, Declan Noone and Patrick McLaughlin scoring.

 

Next weeks games see the first team have a bye with the reserves home to Glengad Res on Saturday night at 7pm. Then on St Patrick’s day the first team play Dunree in the Credit Union cup at 12 noon.
Youth Football
Following a meeting between Culdaff FC and Gleneely Colts the under age merger between the clubs will continue this season and the teams will play under the Culdaff/Gleneely banner.
 
The youth football season will be commencing in mid April and managers will be starting training sessions within the next week or so.
Futsal

The Futsal final is on this weekend in Greencastle.

Last week Philip McLaughlin made the winners enclosure with Don Ruddy second and Liam O’Connor third. League continues every Monday night commencing at 8.30pm with a twenty euro entry fee.

Night of the Races
The annual night at the races will be held in the Culdaff Arms on Easter Monday night at 9pm. Horses, priced at €10, are on sale from all players and committee members and your support as always is greatly appreciated. For an entertaining night out come along with a friend.

Results / Fixtures
The first team turned in their best performance of the season, with Niall Gordon getting a hat trick and Derek Doherty the other, in a four one win over Redcastle United before a huge crowd last Saturday night. The reserves had an excellent two nil win away in Cockhill with a Raymond McFeely penalty and a Gerard McLaughlin screamer sealing the points.
 
Next weeks games see the first team at home to Clonmany with the reserves away to Carn Res. All supporters welcome.

In the final round of the Futsal series managers of Culdaff /Gleneely under 12 Ronan Kearney & George Houten utilized their squad to the full but lost narrowly against Carn, St Marys & Glen Rovers with Peter Doherty the sole scorer. However the results did not alter their final qualification place and their finals will be on Sat 13th March.

Last week Pat O’Donnell was the winner with Diarmuid O’Brien runner up and Paddy McColgan third. Their was twenty players on the night and all welcome.
 
Pat O’Donnell has surged to the top of the leader board on 60 points with Don Ruddy second on 48, Pat O’Brien third on 46 and Johnny McGuinness fourth on 44.
 
League continues every Monday night commencing at 8.30pm with a twenty euro entry fee. All are welcome.

Futsal Competition
The U12 Futsal competition started Saturday the 6th of February and continues each Saturday with the finals scheduled for Saturday 27th of February.
We were drawn in Group one which takes place in Carndonagh with KO 11am.
 
Last week Culdaff /Gleneely played the second round of the Futsal Competition in Carn. In their opening game they defeated Glen Rovers five one with goals from Nathan McLaughlin (3), Darragh Folan and Peter Doherty but lost to Carn and St Marys with Nathan McLaughlin scoring on each occasion.
Results / Fixtures
The reserves drew one all with Clonmany with Patrick McLaughlin scoring while the first team lost four two to Moville with individual errors the bane of this performance. Anthony Kelly and JJ Doherty were on the mark.
 
Next weeks games see the first team have a free weekend while the reserves are at home to Moville Res on Sunday Morning.
All supporters welcome.

Futsal Competition
The U12 Futsal competition started last Saturday the 6th of February and continues the following two Saturdays (13th and 20th) with the finals scheduled for Saturday 27th of February.
We were drawn in Group one which takes place in Carndonagh with KO 11am.
 
Last week the under 12 team drew two and lost one. They recorded a nil nil draw with Glen Rovers and a one all draw with St Marys while they lost three one to Carn. Scorers on the day were Nathan McLaughlin and Peter Doherty.
Results / Fixtures
The first team were beaten seven two in Glengad last week in a very poor performance with Derek Doherty and Brendan Lafferty scoring while the reserve team paid the price for missed chances when they lost four two to Aileach Res in the cup with Michael Coyle and Barry Fitzpatrick scoring.
 
This week’s games see both teams at home. The reserves take on Clonmany in the morning while the first team play Moville Celtic in the afternoon.

On Sunday afternoon the club has given QPS the use of the facilities and they play Redcastle United in the premier division with a 2pm kick off.

The club were defeated in the semi finals of the Futsal competition by Carrowmena by four goals to one with Conor O’Brien scoring.

Our reserves lost at home to Aileach Reserves on Saturday night but with a very young side in action they played very well for long periods. Eugene McLaughlin was on the mark with a well taken penalty.

Culdaff qualified for the semi finals of the Charlie O’Donnell Memorial Competition at Maginn Park, Buncrana on Wednesday 30th Dec with wins over Sea Rovers(9-4), Dunree (7-4) and Aileach in a must win game by five goals to four. The twenty one goals were scored by Conor O’Brien (5), John McFeely ( 4), Matthew Byrne (3), Dermot Diver (3),Michael Byrne (3) Dermot Collins(2) and Brendan McLaughlin (1).
The semi final and final will take place in Cockhill this Wednesday 6th Jan with players to report to McGuinness’s to leave at 5.45pm.
 
Results / Fixtures

Sympathy
All at the club would like to extend their sympathy to Hugh Diver and the Diver family, Ramelton, on the death of their mother just after Christmas. May she rest in peace.
