Club Notes 28th December 2008

 There was no lotto draw last week next draw is on January 6th the jackpot will be €1880, Lotto’s are available from local pubs and café’s or from any committee member Price €2. Ireland ring 07517660650.  Training for First and Reserve teams is on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7 -30pm in the Astro Pitch, The Fun Football on Saturday’s will resume on Saturday 17 Jan, The Club took part in the Charlie O’Donnell Memorial Trophy last Sunday in Cockhill in Group D In the first game QPS beat Carndonagh 3-1 goals from Oisin Mc Colgan, Sean Mc Laughlin and Seanan Mc Colgan, In the second game they beat Gleneely 8-0 with Three goals each from Seanan Mc Colgan and Paul Hegarty and one each from Dean Barron and Sean Harkin an ankle injury to keeper Damian Doherty early in the game meant he could not take part in the rest of the competition Oisin Mc Colgan took over in goals, We wish Damian a speedy recovery, In the third game they played Clonmany with the winners of this game going through to Friday’s finals and what a game it proved to be the Swifts raced into a 3-1 lead and lead 4-3 at half time but Clonmany proved too strong in the second half winning 8-5 the points goals came from Paul Grant, Hugo Curran (2) Seanan Mc Colgan and Sean Mc Laughlin  The Management Committee would like to wish all our Players, Managers, Supporters, Lotto Sellers and those who buy our lotto’s a Peaceful New Year
