The home side started well with Andrew Doherty having an effort well tipped over by Damien Friel.They opened the scoring on 21 minutes when a quick break up the right saw Ryan O’Donnell cross for Shane Doherty to head home at the back post. Rasheney tried to respond with Phelim Noone having an effort easily gathered by Padraig Doherty.Carn increased their lead on 55 minutes when Fergal Doherty fed Ronan Doherty who rounded Friel to slot home.Minutes later Adrian Loftus crossed for Sean Og Doherty to head home. The visitors went close on 70 minutes after Kieran Friel found Kevin Noone but his rasping effort was well turned round the post by Doherty.Carn went further ahead on 75 minutes after Philip Doherty and O’Donnell played a neat one two to allow O’Donnell to round Friel and slot home.They completed the scoring when Fergal Doherty’s long ball found James McDaid who lobbed Friel from the edge of the area.    

Clonmany Res                        1-0       Cockhill Res              

In perfect conditions Cockhill were first to show when Mark Donaghey ran onto a through ball to fire past Patrick Harkin but Christopher Ivers got back to clear off the line.Clonmnmay replied on 15 minutes when Darren Grant set up Emyln Doherty but his effort was well held by Declan Caldwell.Midway through the half Donaghey had another good opening for the visitors but fired over from fifteen yards.Clonmnay started the second period well with Gerard McDaid poking wide from close range following a corner  before following another corner Grant fired over when he should have hit the target.Their pressure was rewarded on 66 minutes when Michael Grant crossed for Aiden Doherty who flicked the ball past Caldwell from close range.Cockhill tried to reply but Donaghey fired just over.Clonmany had the last chance when Barney Doherty rounded Caldwell but Barry Donaghey got back top clear off the line.

An understrength visitors side started the better and had the firct chance when Liam Doherty’s attempted lob drifted just over.Rasheney dominated but it took them until the 32 minutes to break the deadlock after Cathal Herron fed John Grant and he slotted low to the corner from fourteen yards.Minutes later they doubled their lead after Brian Grant’s speculative shot deceived the keeper.On 39 minutes after good build up by Herron and Kevin Noone allowed Christopher Gibbons to sidestep a defender and fire low to the corner for number three.Thye made it four nil before the interval after John Grant ran through the middle before firing low past Gary McLaughlin from fifteen yards.Glengad had the first chance of the second period also with Doherty driving wide from a good position.On the hour the home side responded when Daniel McGonigle’s effort was parried by Mclaughlin and Gibbons saw his follow up effort brilliantly cleared off the line by Johnathan Harvey.The home side made it five nil on 72 minutes when Darragh Mclaughlin’s cross was headed home by Gibbons.Glengad stuck at it and gained a consolation when Liam Doherty headed over the substitute keeper Sean Friel from ten yards.A poor clearance in the visitors defence fell to substitute Conor Collins and he was unchallenged to slot low to the net from sixteen yards to complete the scoring.

Played in very blustery conditions in the Isle       Clonmany had all the pressure in the opening half but the home defence stood firm until the 29 minutes when Declan Grant’s dangerous cross deflected off an unfortunate defender past Damien Friel.They doubled their lead minutes before the break when Johnathan Mclaughlin’s free kick from twenty five yards took a deflection offr the wall to wrongfoot Friel.Rasheney pushed forward on the restart and were unlucky on 56 minutes when Kevin Noone’s corner fell to Martin Kelly but his effort crashed off the bar.They reduced the deficit on 64 minutes when Phelim Noone’s wind assisted free kick flew over Patrick Harkin in the Clonmany goal to the roof of the net.Rasheney pressed forward for the remainder of the game but the Clonmany defence held firm.

Glengad Res              2-3       Cockhill Res

The home side began well and had a half chance in the opening minute but Daniel McDaid fired wide from ten yards.Minutes later the visitors opened the scoring when Gordon Duncan broke clear of the home defence to fire low past Martin Kelly.They increased their lead midway through the half when Eddie Cuffe released Kevin McClean and he fired past Kelly from close range.Glengad were first to show on the restart when Liam Doherty had an effort well saved by Stephen Porter on 55 minutes.The visitors hit back and went three up on the hour mark when Duncan sidestepped a defender to hammer to the roof of the net from fifteen yards.Glengad battled back and got one back when Doherty crossed for Liam Nelson to score with an acrobatic overhead kick from twenty yards to the roof of the net.They reduced the deficit to the minimum on 82 minutes after a scramble in the Cockhill area allowed Doherty to poke the ball home.Cockhill spurned a great chance in the last minute when they were awarded a penalty for handball but Cuffe’s kick was brilliantly saved by Kelly.
