The visitors started the game well and on 10 minutes went close after a corner fell to James Lafferty but he volleyed just over the top.Carn replied and opened the scoring on 21 minutes when JJ Doherty’s kick out  was flicked on by Barry McElhinney for Dermot Doherty to lob Emmet McLaughlin from eighteen yards.They increased their advantage on the half hour when a superb defence splitting ball from Brendan Tabb found John Doherty and he slotted low to the corner from twelve yards.Moville were out of luck five minutes after the break when Christy McGeoghaghan’s corner found Laurence Harkin but his header was cleared off the line by Paul Canny.The home side increased their lead on 72 minutes when Shane Doherty played a neat one two with Tabb before firing a brillian volley from twenty five yards to the top corner.They completed the scoring on 85 minutes when Lee McClaren crossed from the right for James McDaid to slot home at the back post.

In an entertaining game it was even enough in the opening period.Two goals from Gerard McDaid in the opening twenty minutes were cancelled out by two Gerard Arbuckle’s strikes before the break.Aileach upped the pace after the break with Anthony Doherty racing clear of the home defence to shoot low past Thomas McClay.Doherty added a second midway through the half when he pounced on  a defensive error to drill low to the corner.And Doherty sealed the win late on when he completed his hattrick firing a losse ball high to the net from fifteen yards.

League champions Clonmany cruised to a four nil win and in the process condemned the point to relegation.They got off to a dream start when Edmund Doherty’s effort deflected off a defender past Shane Curran in the home goal.On 7 minutes they made it two nil when Karl Harkin crossed from the right for SP Doherty to shoot low to the net from six yards.Curran then saved well to deny Harkin as he advanced on goal before Sean Doherty capitalized on a defensive error to shoot low past Curran sixteen yards.The home side replied before the break with Alex O’Brien’s effort from thirty yards well saved by Patrick Harkin.Three minutes after the break when SP Doherty broke through the home defence he slid the ball low past Curran.Doherty then fired wide when well placed before Harkin fired into the side netting.The home side responded with Brian McIvor’s dangerous cross eluding all before Dwain Robb put McIvor clear but his attempted chip drifted just wide.They were denied a consolation on 88 minutes when Adam Harkin’s free kick was pushed away by Patrick Harkin.

 Carn took the lead on 9 minutes when Cathal Doyle converted a penalty awarded for handball.The point replied with Shaun Harkin’s twenty five yards free well saved by JJ Doherty.Carn increased their advantage on 20 minutes when Doyle cross from the right for John Doherty to lift the ball over keeper Brian Havlin from six yards.The home side went close after Fergal Buchanan’s cross saw Kevin Wallace’s header cleared off the line by Enda Sweeney before Alex O’Brien’s cross cum shot came off the bar with Doherty beaten.Carn replied and Doyle was denied in a one on one with Havlin tipping his effort round the post before on the stroke of half time Ian Cullen went close with a glancing header for the home side which went just wide.The second half was a quieter affair with Carn dominant.Shane Donaghey fired an effort just wide before Patrick McElhinney went close with an overhead kick.They sealed the points on 79 minutes when James McDaid crossed for the left for John Doherty to slot low to the net from eight yards.

In a bright start to this game the home side went close with Fergal Buchanan shooting wide.Illies replied and two corners by Kieran McDaid  saw Gerard McDaid volley off the bar and Graeme Doherty head over.Illies took the lead on 13 minutes when PJ McLaughlin advanced on the right and crossed for Dominic Coyle to slot the ball past John Atcheson in the home goal.The point replied with Adam Harkin feeding Buchanan but his shot was deflected behind.At the other end a defensive mix up allowed McLaughlin a clear sight of goal but he dragged his effort wide.The home side leveled on the half hour after Raymond Buchanan’s corner found Kevin Wallace who controlled well and fired to the roof of the net from five yards.They took the lead just after the interval when good play by Paddy Breslin, Christy Harkin and Brian McIvor set up Fergal Buchanan who fired to the top corner from eighteen yards.Illies hit back and when Coyle crossed from the right Gerard McDaid glanced a header past Atcheson before on 74 minutes Coyle again crossed from the right to McDaid to slot home between defenders. The home side rallied and equalized on 86 minutes when Raymond Buchanan converted a penalty awarded after McIvor was upended.

Aileach gopt off to a dream start on 3 minutes when Kieran Craig fed Derek Gallagher who lobbed keeper Brian Doherty from twelve yards.The visitors got back on terms midway through the half when Terence Doherty raced onto Charlie Byrne’s through ball to slot low past Shaun McKay.The second period saw little in the way of goalmouth action with both defences on top.Glengad made the breakthrough on 80 minutes when a poor back pass was seized on by Byrne to fire to the roof of the net from sixteen yards.They sealed the win in the last minute when the home defence failed to clear a corner allowing Michael Doherty to fire home.

Moville withstand second half barrage to lift the Shield

While the pitch was in excellent condition the weather was disastrous with high winds and several stormy hail showers interrupting the match.With the wind the home side started the better with Conor McLaughlin’s looping cross punched clear by Patrick Harkin on six minutes.On 11 minutes they went close again after Eunan Hegarty unleashed a twenty yards effort which had Harkin scrambling across to his right but it just cleared the post.On 14 minutes the Clonmany defence failed to clear a corner allowing Kevin McDermott to force the ball home from close range.They increased their lead on the half hour after another James Lafferty corner found Conor McLaughlin and he headed just inside the back post from seven yards.On the restart Clonmany pressed hard and in the opening minute Karl Harkin had a snapshot well saved by Sean McGuinness in the Moville goal.On the hour mark Declan Grant’s free from the left found substitute Stephen McLaughlin but his header was brilliantly tipped over by McGuinness.From the corner Clonmany reduced the deficit when McLaughlin’s well struck kick went all the way to the net despite the best efforts of a defender on the post.A severe hail shower saw the game stopped for five minutes and on the resumption a quick Moville break saw Lafferty advance up the left but he blazed well over.Clonmany pressed hard but the conditions and the Moville defence conspired  to keep them out.

The man of the match award went to Moville’s centre half John L Coyle who was  a tower of strength throughout and broke up many a Clonmany attack especially in the second half.

The home side scored a comprehensive victory over the visitors and opened the scoring on 11 minutes after Paul Farren threaded a pass through to Cathal Doyle and the experienced striker lifted the ball over the advancing Declan Caldwell from ten yards.Minutes later a fine pass from John Doherty also found Doyle and this time he slipped the ball low past Caldwell from the edge of the area.Cockhill replied and Kieran Donaghey tested JJ Doherty with an effort from distance before on 35 minutes Carn made it three nil.Farren’s free was headed across goal by Enda Sweeney and John Doherty headed home at the back post.Cockhill had a great chance on the restart after Kevin McClean beat the offside trap and raced clear but from twenty yards fired just past the post.Carn replied and midway through the period they increased their advantage when Dermot Doherty found Doyle and he beat the offside trap to lob the keeper and complete his hat trick.They completed the scoring five minutes from time when Shane Doherty played a neat one two with Farren before shooting low past Caldwell from ten yards.

In an entertaining clash the visiting side opened the scoring on 16 minutes when Kieran Craig’s free was headed past Declan Caldwell by Derek Gallagher from twelve yards.The home side got back on terms on 33 minutes when Brian King’s through ball caused hesitancy in the visitors defence allowing Darren Robinson to slot low past Joe Coyle.Aileach regained the lead two minutes into the second period after Stephen Doherty’s corner was headed home at the near post by Craig.Cockhill replied on the hour and leveled when Jason Lyons found Robinson and he cut the ball back to King who rifled a superb twenty five yards effort to the top corner.But once again Aileach regained the lead when on 68 minutes Gallagher’s shot was parried by Caldwell to Dermot McGlynn who sidefooted to the empty net.They increased their advantage on 75 minutes when a defensive error allowed Craig to fire low to the net from the edge of the area.Two minutes later they made the points safe after Gallgher fed Doherty and he cut in to drill a low shot past Caldwell.Cockhill gained a consolation on 88 minutes when King found Paddy Porter and he fired a low shot from sixteen yards past Coyle.

Cockhill got off to a dream start when on 5 minutes Eddie Cuffe chipped keeper Ruairi Kelly from twenty five yards.            They increased their lead before the half hour after Cuffe dispatched a twenty yards effort to the bottom corner.Glengad tried to reply with Paul McGonagle firing a free from the edge of the area off the crossbar.Cockhill defended well on the restart but on 80 mins Charlie Byrne crossed for Paul McDermott to convert from close range.Minutes later McGonagle’s cross caused confusion allowing McDermott to stroke the ball home. Then with time almost up McGonagle’s corner was glanced home at the near post by McDermott to complete his hat trick and seal the points

Brian Doherty for the visitors went close when he fired just wide from a thirty yards free before the home side saw Ruairi Kelly deny Aiden Doherty and then tip Stephen McLaughlin’s follow up over the top. On the half hour SP Doherty found space but saw his effort well saved by Kelly for Emlyn Doherty’s follow up to go past the far post. Doherty then made a superb tackle in his own area to deny Glengad Brian Doherty before on 41 minutes Stephen McLaughlin crossed for SP Doherty to turn the ball home from close range. On the stroke of half time Charles Byrne and Eamon McColgan combined for the latter to fire wide from fourteen yards. Clonmany began well and on 57 minutes Aiden Doherty found McLaughlin but he was denied by Kelly again. Michael Harkin, Aiden Doherty and McLaughlin all had chances for the home side but failed to hit the target. Glengad defended well but posed no threat to the home defence.

After an even opening the home side took the lead on 30 minutes when Gerard Arbuckle crossed to Dermot McGlynn to volley home at the back post past Brian Havlin for a slender interval lead. They doubled their lead on 66 minutes with Arbuckle cutting in from the right to unleash a twenty yards effort which whistled past Havlin. Minutes later Arbuckle beat a defender and squared to Derek Gallagher to slot home before Gallagher pounced on a loose ball inside the are to fire low past Havlin. The visitors got a consolation on 85 minutes when Damien McCallion’s long range effort deceived Sean McKay in the home goal.

The home side enjoyed more possession  but in truth the visitors were much more clinical throughout. After an even opening the visitors took the lead when Kieran McDaid rifled a superb shot from twenty yards past JJ Doherty. The home side got back on terms five minutes later when Philip Doherty’s corner broke to Ryan O’Donnell and he hammered to the roof of the net. The home side went close again on the hour after Lee McClaren’s cross was parried by      Thomas McClay but Cathal Doherty’s follow up was blocked. Illies took the lead on 76 minutes when Gerard McDaid’s through ball found Dominic Coyle who rounded Doherty to slot the ball home. They sealed the win on 85 minutes when McDaid advanced up the left and ran through the slot low past Doherty.

After a quiet opening the home side were first to show when Kieran Donaghey fed Mark Gillespie and his effort from the edge of the area was well gathered by Ruairi Kelly. Before the interval at the other end Stephen McLaughlin went close with a twenty five yards effort which went just over. Glengad went close again after the break when McLaughlin’s effort was well saved by Declan Caldwell who rose quickly to deny the inrushing Paul McDermott. Cockhill replied and on 72 minutes a corner fell to Kevin O’Donnell but his low effort well saved by Kelly. The visitors snatched all three points in injury time when McDermott broke on the right and cut in to see his effort deflected past Caldwell in the home goal.

After an even opening it was the visitors who took the lead after the Illies defence failed to clear allowing Paul Grant to drill a low shot from the edge of the area past Graeme Doherty in the home goal. The remainder of the half was a midfield battle with defences on top and few chances. The visitors spurned a great chance on 53 minutes to increase their lead when they were awarded a penalty for handball but Grant drove the spot kick wide. Illies rallied and drew level on 78 minutes when Kieran McDaid fired a superb free kick from an acute angle to the top corner. The home side pressed hard for the winner but Brian Havlin in the visitors goal denied PJ McLaughlin twice and Eamon McDaid to gain his side a point.

League leaders Clonmany opened the scoring on 11 minutes after Emyln & Dessie Doherty combined for the latter to cross to Rocky Ivers to sidefoot home from eight yards. Carn replied and got back on terms when the home defence failed to clear a corner allowing John Doherty to force the ball home. Clonmany hit back to regain the lead when Ivers strode forward to unleash a brilliant shot to the top corner from thirty yards past James  McDaid. Carn upped the tempo with Anthony Toland and Philip Doherty prominent but they failed to break the home side down. Clonmany increased their lead on 67 minutes when a through ball from Edmund Doherty was misjudged by McDaid allowing Karl Harkin to poke the ball home. Carn tried to respond with a scramble in the area  ending with Dermot Doherty’s effort blocked by Declan Grant and Patrick Harkin gathered the loose ball. At the other end Ivers fed Dessie Doherty but his effort was well saved by McDaid. Carn spurned a great opportunity to get back into the game on 84 minutes when they were awarded a penalty for handball but Doherty blazed wide. The last chance fell to the home side when Michael Harkin fed Edmund Doherty but his effort was saved by McDaid.

The home side began well with Aiden Doherty breaking clear but denied by keeper Joe Coyle before at the other end a dangerous Derek Gallagher cross was well cleared by Declan Grant. Clonmany took the lead on 11 minutes when Gearoid Doherty fed Aiden Doherty and he fired low to the corner from fourteen yards. Minutes later the same player made it two when he neatly sidestepped a defender before shooting low past Coyle. Midway through the half the home side added a third when Karl Harkin ran onto Edmund Doherty’s pass and confidently slipped the ball home. Aileach responded with both Liam Bradley and Kieran Craig having twenty yard efforts saved well by Patrick Harkin. But Clonmany struck for number four on 40 minutes when after Emyln Doherty fed Edmund Doherty who finished well from fifteen yards. Aileach replied before the interval when Gallagher pulled the ball back from the byline for Craig to sidefoot home. Ten minutes after the break a corner for the home side fell to Emyln Doherty and from the edge of the area he hammered a rising shot to the top corner. Aileach replied with Stephen McGuinness having a shot from distance turned away by Harkin before McGuinness advanced from midfield to unleash a superb shot to the roof of the net.Clonamny finished well when Mickael Harkin fired wide before Daniel McLaughlin crossed to Aiden Doherty but he blazed over.

The home side got off to a perfect start in the 2nd minute when Paul McGonagle’s corner was headed home by Charlie Byrne. They increased their lead five minutes later after Ronald McDaid fed Christy Mclaughlin and his twenty yards effort whizzed past Brian Havlin. The visitors replied and Brian McIvor found himself with time and space but shot straight at Ruairi Kelly. Glengad increased their advantage before the break when McLaughlin released David Doherty and he fired low under the advancing Havlin. On 71 minutes they made it four after McGonagle fed Mclaughlin to shoot low to the corner from ten yards. The point created a good opening for Ian Cullen but the striker shot at Kelly when he should have done better. Glengad completed the scoring when McGonagle again set up Mclaughlin to complete his hat trick from fifteen yards.

Cockhill started the better and on 15 minutes Jason Lyons fed Kieran Donaghey but he shot tamely at Thomas McClay. Illies replied and when Seamus Donaghey ran onto a through ball he managed to poke the ball past Declan Caldwell but Kevin McClean got back to clear it off the line. Cockhill took the lead on the half hour after Donaghey converted a penalty for a foul on himself. Donaghey then ran onto Mark Gillespie’s through ball but fired wide. Before the hour Gillespie cut in from thirty yards out and saw his effort crash off the bar before on 70 minutes Donaghey crossed for Gillespie who again headed off the bar. Illies broke and leveled on 79 minutes when Gerard McDaid  broke clear to be denied by a smothering save from Caldwell but the loose ball fell to Joe McDaid who sidefooted to the empty net from twelve yards. Illies could have nicked it found space in the area but was denied by the legs of Caldwell

The home side started well with Philip Doherty and Barry McElhinney playing a neat one two on the edge of the area but Doherty fired just wide. The visitors took the lead on the half hour when Gerard Arbuckle crossed from the left to the back post for Gregory Doherty to hammer home. Five minutes later Carn equalized when McElhinney was upended allowing Philip Doherty to convert  and they took the lead a minute before the interval when Shane Doherty crossed from the left for McElhinney to head home at the near post.Aileach started the second period well and leveled when Shane Kerrigan found Christy Murray and he headed  home from five yards. With twenty minutes remaining the visitors took the lead when Arbuckle’s cross deflected off a defender allowing Murray to head home from close range.Carn rallied and got back on terms when Dermot Doherty ran down the right and crossed for substitute lee McClaren to slide the ball home with his first touch. The home side almost took all three points in the final minute when Doherty crossed for Dermot Doherty but his effort was blocked by the legs of keeper McKay.

With the elements in their favour the home side was on top and went close when Paul McGonagle fired a shot from thirty yards which rebounded off the post. Midway through the half Stephen McLaughlin had a good effort well saved by Patrick Harkin.Clonmany replied and Kieran McLaughlin shot wide when well placed.Glengad replied and when David Doherty crossed Eamonn McColgan’s effort was well saved by Harkin.Clonmany started the second period well with SP Doherty having an effort tipped over by Ruairi Kelly before McLaughlin shot wide from fifteen yards. McLaughlin then drew a fine save from Kelly before the home side had a great late chance after Charlie Byrne raced clear of the Clonmany defence but was denied by Harkin.

Moville dominated for long period of this game and after Kevin McDermott fired wide they opened the scoring on 11 minutes when Conor McLaughlin’s corner was flicked home at the near post by Tony McGeady.The doubled their lead minutes later when loose ball fell to Gearoid McQuillan inside the area and he fired to the bottom corner.Illies rallied and Manus McLaughlin reduced the deficit when he headed a Gerard McDaid cross home from six yards. Moville upped the pace and restored their two goal lead when McDermott turned sharply inside the area and drilled a powerful shot to the net. Before the interval they added another when Christy McGeoghaghan fed McLaughlin who sidestepped a defender and drilled a low shot to the corner. On the restart the home side continued on top with McDermott and McLaughlin off target and keeper Thomas McKay denying James Lafferty.They increased their lead on 77 minutes when after a well worked move McQuillan slotted low to the corner from fifteen yards. They completed the scoring when Lafferty fired a superb twenty yards effort to the bottom corner.

In blustery conditions the home side with advantage took the lead on the quarter hour when Kevin O’Donnell’s wind assisted effort from distance flew over Brian Havlin to the roof of the net. The point rallied and came into the game getting back on terms on the half hour when a corner was cleared to the edge of the area allowing Mark Duffy to drill a low shot past Aaron O’Donnell. The home side regained their lead before the interval when Jason Lyons cross was superbly volleyed to the top corner by Mark Gillespie from twelve yards. On the resumption the point had a lot of pressure but the Cockhill defence stood firm and the visitors failed to create any clear chances.Cockhill sealed the points on 72 minutes when Lyons fed Kieran Donaghey and he released Gillespie to shoot low past Havlin from twelve yards.

The visitors were on top for long periods but the Moville defence well marshaled by John L Coyle stood firm. They went close after 22 minutes when Michael Nelson crossed for Barry McElhinney but he headed over from ten yards .Before the break a long clearance by keeper JJ Doherty found John Doherty but his low shot was well saved by Emmet McLaughlin. Moville got off to a great start  to the second half after Conor McLaughlin won a tackle and advanced to release Kevin McDermott and he rounded JJ Doherty to slot home. Carn replied and following a scramble Nelson’s low drive was brilliantly saved by McLaughlin. Carn were on top but were caught on the break on 81 minutes when substitute Stephen McLaughlin found brother Conor and he smashed the ball home from fifteen yards.

The home side were first to show when Christy McLaughlin hammered a twenty five yards effort off the crossbar. Aileach took the lead on 11 minutes when Mark Mclaughlin found Gerard Arbuckle and he fired high past Ruairi Kelly from ten yards.Minutes later they made it two when Derek Gallagher crossed for the unmarked Dermot McGlynn to head home from six yards.Glengad got back into it when on 33 minutes Eamon McColgan converted a penalty after Stephen McLaughlin was upended. But the visitors added a third before the break when McLaughlin again crossed for Arbuckle to sidefoot home. Glengad applied a lot of prerssure in the second period and reduced the deficit on 79 minutes when Pauil McGonigle’s corner was slotted home by McLaughlinf room ten yards. But the Aileach defence stood firm and claimed the points.

Clonmany got off to a great start on 6 minutes when Kieran McLaughlin blocked down an attempted clearance and raced clear to tuck the ball low past Brian Havlin.   Before the interval they doubled their lead after a long ball by Emlyn Doherty found McLaughlin and he rounded Havlin to slot home.The visitors began the second period well with Trevor Gallagher having a twenty five yards effort deflected behind. From the corner Damien Doherty headed wide from a good position. On the hour Clonmany’s  Aiden Doherty flicked the ball goalwards but Havlin saved well  before Karl Harkin shot wide when he should have hit the target. Substitutes SP and Gearoid Doherty combined well but were denied by a superb Damien McColgan tackle. On 75 minutes SP Doherty fed McLaughlin who beat two defenders and slotted past Havlin to complete his hat trick. The last chance fell to Rocky Ivers but he was unlucky when his effort crashed off the bar.

This was an extraordinary game with the home side getting three penalties but missing two of them. The visitors opened the scoring on 5 minutes when Cathal Doyle was upended and Philip Doherty converted low to the right. Minutes later the home side were awarded a penalty after Paul McDermott was upended but McDermott’s kick was well saved high to his left by JJ Doherty. Midway through the half Carn went close when Barry McElhinney fired over from twenty yards. McDermott then shot wide from a good position before the home side were reduced to ten players when Brian Doherty was redcarded. Midway through the second period the home side were awarded another penalty for handball but this time Christy McLaughlin’s kick was saved low to the right by JJ Doherty. Their persistence paid off on 86 minutes when McLaughlin was upended in the area and this time Eamon McColgan converted to ensure a share of the spoils.

The opening half ended scoreless but was a competitive affair with few chances and both defences well on top. The best chance of the half fell to the visitors on 33 minutes when Karl Harkin turned on the edge of the area but saw his effort well saved by Declan Caldwell. The deadlock was broken on the hour mark when Dessie Doherty broke unchallenged on the right and from an acute angle hammered the ball low past Caldwell. They increased their lead ten minutes later after Harkin crossed for Doherty to shoot low to the net from ten yards. Clonmany completed the scoring and sealed the points on 79 minutes after a defensive clearance was intercepted by Harkin who ran clear to round Caldwell and slot home.

The home side got off to a dream start on 3 minutes when Michael Fiorentini found Rory Lafferty and he fired to the top corner from the edge of the area past Ruairi Kelly.They went close again midway through the half when Oran McDermott crossed for Stephen McLoughlin but he hit the post from point blank range.Glengad went close following a corner before the interval when Gary McLaughlin headed just over.Moville increased their lead on the hour mark after substitute Eunan McDaid was upended and Kevin McDermott converted the spot kick.Glengad got one back on 69 minutes when Daniel McDaid went past two defenders and fired to the top corner past Emmet McLaughlin from twelve yards.The home side sealed the points on 82 minutes when McDermott and James Lafferty played a neat one two allowing McDermott to slam the ball to the roof of the net.

After a well contested even opening period Aileach broke the deadlock on 33 minutes when a good ball from Derek Gallagher found Gerard Arbuckle and his first time shot whistled past James McDaid.Minutes later they doubled their lead after Andrew Simpson’s cross shot was turned in at the back post by Arbuckle.Carn rallied after the break and went close when Cathal Doyle’s low effort was well saved by Sean McKay on the hour.Aileach sealed the points on 72 minutes when Simpson cut in from the left and coolly lobbed McDaid from the edge of the area.

The first half was an even affair with defences on top and chances at a premium.Thomas McClay in the home goal had one save to make when he denied SP Doherty.It remained scoreless until midway through the second half when Emyln Doherty advanced on the right and his shot took a wicked deflection past McClay.Minutes later a corner from the left was flicked on by Karl Harkin for Doherty to head home at the back post.Clonmany made it three on 80 minutes after Doherty crossed for Michael Harkin to slide home at the back post.They completed the scoring on 86 minutes when Karl Harkin beat two defenders and fired low to the corner.

The point opened the scoring after 5 minutes after Aiden Lynch collected a pass from Raymond Buchanan and fired low past Paddy Doherty.They made it two minutes later when Damien McCallion found Lynch and he shot low past Doherty from twelve yards.Buchanan then fed Kevin Wallace who sidestepped a defender and slotted low past Doherty.On the half hour Brian Doherty for the visitors fired a thirty yards free over the top.The home side replied when Paddy Breslin crossed from the right for Buchanan to volley to the net from the edge of the area.Minutes later Christy Harkin fed Adam Harkkin to lay the ball off to Lynch to curl the ball to the top corner from ten yards and complete his hat trick.Glengad got one back on 39 minutes when Daniel McDaid picked up a loose ball and superbly chipped Brian Havlin from all of thirty five yards.Veteran striker Brian McIvor replaced Lynch and with his first touch set up Wallave to fire home number six.On the stroke of half time Adam Harkin’s corner was headed home by Wallace to also complete a hat trick.Two goals from McIvor completed the rout in the second half.

Moville kept their slim title hopes alive with this comfortable win thanks in the main to a hat trick from player manager Eunan McDaid.They took the lead on 20 minutes after Oran McDermott’s corner was headed home by Michael Fiorentini.Cockhill leveled just before the break when Brendan Gillespie found Mark Gillespie and he drilled a low shot past Emmet McLaughlin from ten yards.The home side regained the lead on the hour after James Lafferty’s rasping shot was parried by Declan Caldwell for McDaid to slot home.McDaid increased the lead when he collected a pass from McDermott and chipped the keeper from the edge of the area.He sealed the win on 86 minutes when Conor Mc Laughlin released him and he fired low to the corner from just inside the area.

Illies dominated throughout and took the lead on 14 minutes when Kieran McDaid chased a long clearance controlled and laid the ball back for Eamon McDaid to drill a low shot to the corner from twelve yards.In a carbon copy move midway through the half they doubled their advantage.Glengad got a lifeline five minutes after the restart when Paul McDermott converted  a penalty awarded after he was upended.But Illies replied and increased their lead again after Kieran McDaid was upended and Jim Doherty converted.They went further ahead on 77 minutes when PJ McLaughlin crossed for Jim Doherty to volley home from fifteen yards.Another McLaughlin cross found Kieran McDaid who scored with a spectacular overhead kick from sixteen yards and seal an emphatic win.

Clonmany took a huge step towards retaining their league title with this excellent victory over a gallant home side.The opening half was a very even affair with defences on top and few chances.The visitors opened the scoring on 41 minutes when Dessie Doherty advanced up the left and played the ball back to Michael Harkin and he fired a superb shot to the roof of the net past Sean McKay from the edge of the area.Aileach pressed after the interval but faield to trouble Patrick Harkin in the Clonmany goal and it was no surprise when Clonmany increased their lead when Karl Harkin pounced on a loose ball in the area to drill home from close range.They completed the scoring in the final minute when Doherty again made ground on the left before finsding Kieran McLaughlin who fired low to the net from ten yards.

Cockhill earned a crucial three points but were left hanging on in the end after leading three nil.After an even opening they opened the scoring on 35 minutes when Kieran Donaghey fired home in a goalmouth scramble.Kevin O’Donnell doubled their lead on the stroke of half time when he headed home a Mark Gillespie cross from twelve yards.Disaster struck the home side on 55 minutes when an attempted clearance struck a Cockhill player and looped over the stranded keeper to the net.Illies got one back on the hour after Gerard McDaid beat three men and fired low to the net from eighteen yards.They reduced it to the minimum on 81 minutes after a corner was tapped home by Manus McLaughlin.In the dying minutes they almost snatched a draw but McDaid’s effort was ruled out for offside.

Moville Res            0-2            Aileach Res 

Moville’s title hopes are left hanging by a thread after this second defeat to Aileach within a week.The home side had the first chance with Enda Faulkner crossing for Christy McGeoghaghan but he headed over from fifteen yards.Before the interval the visitors broke the deadlock when Anthony Doherty released Thomas mcMonagle to fire low past Emmet McLaughlin from sixteen yards.Moville pressed hard on the restart but failed to penetrate a well organized Aileach defence.Aileach increased their lead on 80 minutes when McMonagle’s cross was superbly volleyed to the top corner by Kieran Craig from twenty five yards.Moville were denied a consolation after John L Coyle’s cross was somehow headed  wide by Danny Murphy at the back post.

The home side put a huge dent in the title aspirations of the visitors with this comprehensive midweek victory.Aileach opened the scoring on 15 minutes after Shane Kerrigan went down the left beat three defenders and shot low to the net from fourteen yards.On the half hour they went close again after Dermot McGlynn had an effort well saved by Sean McGuinness.Moville got back on terms on 44 minutes when a goalmouth scramble saw Kevin McDermott poke home from twelve yards.Moville started the second period on top with McDermott firing inches wide.But on the hour McGlynn headed home following a corner before minutes later from another corner Seamus O’Donnell headed to the roof of the net.This knocked the stuffing from the visitors and the home side completed the scoring on 88 minutes when Ben Gildore got on the end of a Gerard Arbuckle cross to tap home at the back post.

Moville were the first to show in a first half of very few chances when in the 20minuites Christy Mc Geoghean shot from 25 yards but his effort was held by Brian Havlin in the home net. The point’s first meaningful chance of the half came on 42 minutes when Dean Barron made ground up the middle and shot from 18yds with Shaun Mc Guiness in the Moville goal dealing comfortly with the effort. Barron had a shot just off target a minuite later when well placed. Two minutes after the restart Mc Ivor for the point just failed to connect with a Shaun Harkin free in front of goal.

On 51 minuites John L Coyle almost opened the scoring when he picked up a poor clearance but shot wide. Moville had a couple of chances when Noel Doherty headed Alan Orr’s free over the bar on 57 minutes and Rory Lafferty brought the best out of Havlin in the home goal with a shot on 61minuites. On 70 minutes Christy Harkin almost broke the deadlock with a low long range effort which took a deflection but Mc Guinness held. Both sides kept plugging away with the best chance falling to veteran Brian Mc Ivor whose curler was pushed wide on 85 min, Alan Orr for Moville whose free kick went just over, and in time added on Damian Doherty for the home side had a good header held by Shaun Mc Guiness

The home side took the lead on 15 minutes after Gerard McDaid broke clears and fired low past the advancing Sean McGuinness from fifteen yards.McDaid,Kieran and Eamon McDaid all spurned good chances for the home side and they paid the price on 26 minutes when John L Coyle’s cross found Danny Murphy who volleyed to the net from twelve yards.Illies restored their lead on 35 minutes when Jim Doherty’s looping effort dropped over McGuinness before the visitors again got back on terms before the break when the ball broke to Niall Devlin and he fired a superb shot to the top corner from twenty five yards.Illies upped the pace after the break and dominated.On 61 minutes they were awarded a penalty for handball but Jim Doherty’s effort was superbly saved by McGuinness.McGuinness  earned his side a point when he saved superbly from Doherty ,PJ McLaughlin and McDaid.

Clonmany Res                 3-1            Cockhill Res 

Cockhill opened the scoring on 7 minutes when Patrick Harkin parried a fierce shot allowing Darren Robinson to stroke home.On 20 minutes Robinson had another good effort but Harkin saved well low to his left.Five minutes later Darren Grant for the home side fed SP Doherty and he fired a shot just wide from the edge of the area.Minutes into the second held a Kevin McCarron free was well held by the visiting keeper Declan Caldwell.McCarron then raced onto a Doherty pass but was denied by a superb save from Caldwell.Clonmany got back on terms when Kieran McLaughlin fed McCarron who cut in from the right and fired low inside the far post from a narrow angle.On the hour Edmund Doherty’s ball over the top released SP Doherty who rounded Caldwell to slot home.Cockhill replied with Robinson and Farrell breaking the offside trap but denied by Harkin.At the other end Caldwell denied both Edmund and SP Doherty.On 85 minutes Edmund Doherty found Dessie Doherty and he sidefooted home low from fourteen yards.Dessie Doherty then had another effort well tipped over the top by Caldwell.
