Section 15 Referees and clubs
(01) Referees shall be appointed by the Committee or its representatives.
(02) In the absent of the appointed referee the two clubs may agree to the appointment of an official at the venue.
(03) Such a referee shall be considered a league official for the time being.
(04) In the event of the appointed referee being unable to attend he should notify the referees appointments officer as early as possible.
(05) Before the start of the match the referee shall present the referee’s card to each team in order for them to list their players full christen and surname in block letters. If two players have the same names they must be identified (see rule 6.13)
(06) The referee’s card must be signed by the team manager for the day and returned to the referee before the start of the game.
(07) The referee shall notify the league of the result of the match by returning the referee’s card together with any report necessary immediately after the game.
(08) The home team will pay the referee’s fee as laid down at the start of the season.
(09) The fee to be paid before the start of the match
(10) Both clubs shall share expenses in the case where a play-off is ordered for a neutral ground.
(11) Under no circumstances will a decision made by a referee be regarded as justifiable reason to walk off the field or refuse to finish a match and will be met with a heavy fine or possible expulsion from the league.
